Tatou town

Tatau Town, belonging to Jiexi County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Jiexi County, in the middle and lower reaches of Wujingfu river. It is adjacent to Dongyuan town in the northeast, fengjiang town and Jinhe town in the south, Huizhai town in the West and jingxiyuan town in the north, 32 kilometers away from the county. The total area is 29.35 square kilometers. As of 2018, the town had 54407 registered residence population. As of June 2020, Tatou town has jurisdiction over one community and 14 administrative villages, and the town government is located in tatouwei, Jiexi County, Jieyang City.

In October 1949, tatau belonged to feng'an district. In 1957, Fengan district was designated as Tatou township. In 1986, it was renamed Tatou town. The specialties in Tatou town include black skin wax gourd, fried peanut kernel, dried potato, dried sweet bamboo shoots, etc.

In October 1949, tatau belonged to feng'an district.
