Libu town

Libu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Yangshan County, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northwest of Yangshan County, 23 kilometers away from the county. It is connected with Dalang town in the East, Shanlian township of Liannan County in the south, Zhaigang town of Liannan County in the west, Lianzhou in the north and Xiaojiang town in the south, with a total area of 269.17 square meters. In 2018, the population of Li Bu Town registered residence was 71234. In 2020, Libu town governs 1 community and 18 administrative villages.

In 1914, Libu district was established. In 1928, it was renamed Libu Township, belonging to four districts. In January 1987, Libu town was established.

In 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in Libu Town, including one industrial enterprise above Designated Size and seven comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Tongru township.

During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, Qitan division was established.

In 1914, Libu district was established.

In 1928, it was renamed Libu Township, belonging to four districts. In the early days of the people's Republic of China, it still belonged to four districts.

In 1955, the four districts were renamed Libu township.

In September 1958, Libu people's commune was established. In November of the same year, Yangshan was merged into Lianyang Autonomous County, and Libu belonged to Zhaigang people's commune.

In October 1959, Libu people's commune was restored.

In November 1983, the community was removed and the district was changed into Libu district.

In January 1987, the district was removed to build a town, named Libu town.

In 1993, Fengbu town and Longbu Township were set up from Libu town.

DUYE ancient temple

DUYE ancient temple is a temple in memory of the sages. According to historical records, at the noon of Jiajing in the past Ming Dynasty, because of the rampant banditry in Lizhai area, the people were difficult to live in peace. Feng, Yang, ou and Xia led their troops to pacify the chaos, fought forward and died bravely. The banditry atmosphere also subsided, and the people relied on it to live and work in peace. In order to commemorate the merits and virtues of the four DUYE, the temple was built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. In 1811, the temple was rebuilt, and the history of Feng, Yang, ou and Xia DUYE was recorded in the annals of Yangshan County. It is the blessing of the people in Libu area and a historic site. In the early days of liberation, the local people's Government borrowed the temple wax to store public grain, changed the warehouse and damaged the original appearance of the ancient temple. As of the winter of 1996, the ancient temple was restored to its original state with the approval of the people's Government of Yangshan County, and was used as an activity center for the elderly in Libu area.

Qitian great saint Temple

The folk story of the great sage of Qi has long been spread among the masses. Sun Dasheng's bravery for a just cause and his efforts to eliminate evils in order to protect the three Tibetans of Tang Dynasty are admired by the people. There is such a "great sage of Qi Temple" in Libu town in northern Guangdong Province. It expresses the people's pursuit of a better life and their belief that sun Dasheng benefits the people.

Li's ancestral hall

Li's ancestral hall in Libu town was built in 1901. Li Lizhen was the ancestor of Li Lizhen and was jointly built by Han, Yao and Zhuang brothers in Lianyang area. The 100th anniversary celebration of Li's ancestral hall was held on the 9th of September 2002. Lao Gewen, President of the international Hakka Association, and Zeng Hanxiang and Tan Weilun, members of the international Hakka Association, also participated in the celebration.

Tongguan Gorge

Tongguan gorge: also known as Tongguan gorge and liangsha gorge. It is located in Xitong guanshuikou, Yangshan County, 500m away from Guanyin cave. Tongguan gorge is several kilometers long, with a wide river surface. The water is quiet and blue, with leisurely waves and ripples. Cave gorge cangzhiting cliff, smoke lock hole, waterfall, jade, cloud roll Shu, gorge scenery beauty, wonderful forever. Tang Yangshan made Han Yu write two poems "Tongguan gorge" and "sub Tongguan gorge", saying that he was in Tongguan gorge and "had no intention of thinking about Lingbei". In the Qing Dynasty, the Yangshan mountain made pan Yuanzhang also express his love for the landscape and the gorge wall. The inscriptions of "Tongguan gorge" and "Yuntao" still stand out.

Guanyinyan

Guanyinyan, also known as "Lengran cave", is located at the intersection of Lianjiang River and tongguanshui river. On the right wall of the cave, there are inscriptions such as "Lengran cave" and "Lengran cave guide" written by Huabin of Chongzhen East Gate in Ming Dynasty. Li Yibai, the magistrate of Yangshan County in Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty, repaired Guanyinyan. Guanyin cave entrance XuanHuo, if the tower, such as the stage east, Lianjiang into the eye. The hall of the cave is spacious. In the middle of the palace, there is an audio-visual temple and a green dragon carved on the top stone. The inner cave is extremely deep. Xinshan building

Xinshan building was built in 1926. The drawing was brought back from Nanyang by Li Jinchu, who went out to become a rich businessman. The main body is in the shape of "Tian". It has two floors. It has a practical area of 3400 square meters. It has 108 rooms and eight halls. It once lived in 36 families. It was not brilliant at that time. The main building of Xinshan building has tile eaves, beams and columns, doors and windows, screens, and gold frames. All of them have exquisite wood carvings. The whole building has Chinese folk art carvings with western style.

Dongguan Villa

Dongguan villa, located in Jun'an village, is the only ancient villa in Yangshan County. It is the residence of Huang Hongyou's four sons and their descendants. It is a Hakka residence of mansion style. With a construction area of 1300 square meters, it was built in 1927, and was completed two years later. It's said to be eighteen taels of silver. Its eaves, doors and windows, hall, screen song, etc. have exquisite carving works.

The famous specialty products of Libu town include Dongguan pear, Baojing pear, Yangshan chicken, horseshoe, black sugarcane, white tea, watermelon and tea.

In September 2018, "Libu Hongqu meat" (dishes) was selected as the top ten most beautiful rural delicacies in Qingyuan City in 2018.
