Yetan town

Yetan town originally belongs to nengxi Township, one of LAN, Neng and Kang districts. It is an old revolutionary base during the Anti Japanese War and the war of liberation. It is the former site of Heyuan county Party committee, covering an area of 169.51 square kilometers, including 13000 mu of arable land. It has 13 villagers' committees and 1 residents' committee, with a total population of 23105 (2017), including more than 1000 she people. Yetan town is the hometown of overseas Chinese, with nearly 2000 overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Historical evolution

It was under the jurisdiction of Huangcun commune in 1958, Yetan commune was set up in 1961, and the town was established in 1986.

geographical position

Located at 115 degrees 10 minutes east longitude and 23 degrees 53 minutes north latitude, it is adjacent to Huangcun town in the East, Kanghe town in the south, Lankou town in the West and Longchuan County in the north. Yetan town is located in the northeast of Dongyuan County, 70 kilometers away from the county seat. Dahuan City Road runs through Yetan, realizing village to village highway, and the traffic is very convenient.
