According to legend, Longmu used to be a firewood cutting girl. She lived with her mother in LvTao village to grow crops. One year, the black dragon leaping over kanziwa occupied the outlet of Erhai Lake, turning Dali into a vast ocean. The people were unable to live in peace and fled to other places. Mother and daughter had no help and could not escape, so they had to go to Lanfeng of Cangshan to cut grass and cut firewood for a living. One day, my daughter was thirsty and saw a big green peach on the tree. She took off the peach and put it in her mouth. The peach slipped into her belly. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son. The daughter was afraid of other people's laughter and threw her son into the mountains. The big snake on the mountain feeds the children every day. It not only doesn't starve to death, but also grows naive and lively. The dragon mother loved him very much. She took him home and raised him. When she grew up, she followed the dragon mother to the mountain to cut firewood and grass. Mother and son once cut grass and went home to rest beside the Longtan. When they learned that the Dragon King was ill, the child was invited into the Dragon Palace and cured the Dragon King with fairy grass. When they were in the palace, the child, out of curiosity, put on the robe of the Dragon King and became a yellow dragon. Then they defeated the black dragon and relieved the flood. Dalichong became a fertile field again. The people in LvTao village built a dragon king temple for him. They respected xiaohuanglong as their master and called xiaohuanglong's mother the dragon mother.
