Longwo Town, subordinate to Zijin County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Zijin County, 28 kilometers away from Zijin County, 13 kilometers away from Zijin east exit of Shanzhan expressway, Wuhua County in the East and Huidong County in the south, with a total area of 422 square kilometers. In late 2018, the registered residence population of Dragon Nest town was 85941. As of June 2020, Longwo town has 33 administrative villages and 1 community.
Longwo town is the central town in Guangdong Province. It has always been the business and economic center of the towns along the South Road of Zijin County. Longwo town has a profound cultural heritage. In history, there have emerged such celebrities as Huang Qian, a poet, and Huang Yaliang, one of the founders of Huachao opera, including Huachao opera, a national intangible cultural heritage project, puppet opera, a Guangdong provincial intangible cultural heritage project, Pumi production techniques, and dragon dance, lion dance and Zhangxia July 14 pastoral Festival, a county-level intangible cultural heritage project. Guishan village under the jurisdiction of Longwo town has been included in the list of ancient villages in Guangdong Province. There are cultural relics such as "Guishan Civilization Bookstore", Guishan stone tower, Longwo Catholic Church, pailou village festival and filial piety memorial archway, which were set up in the Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. Longwo is an old revolutionary base area. It was once one of the early active areas of the Communist Party of China. Jiang Zhongzheng and Zhou Enlai led the army to March eastward and stationed in longwowei. In 1927, the second and fourth divisions of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army met here.

Historical evolution
After liberation, JianZheng belonged to the third district of Zijin County.
In 1958, Longwo people's commune was established.

History and culture
The origin of place names
It is said that about five hundred years ago, when a market was just built in this area, a businessman stayed there. He hated the dirty Inn and joked about "dog's nest". The owner was not happy and refused to stay. Later, merchants changed their blind name to "Dragon Nest", and no dogs were allowed. This is the name of Longwo.

Longwo dialect belongs to Meixian Hakka dialect system. The Hakka dialect in Longwo belongs to Zicheng dialect and Nanlu dialect of Zijin Hakka dialect.
Intangible cultural heritage
Huachao opera, a national intangible cultural heritage, originated from the sacrificial ceremony of "God Dynasty" in Zijin County, is popular in Hakka area of eastern Guangdong Province.
The traditional themes of Huachao opera are mostly from folklore, and most of them advocate positive themes such as punishing evil and promoting good, loyalty and patriotism, freedom of marriage and so on. The Hakkas' humanistic ideas, such as Confucianism, cultivation and education, are fully displayed in Huachao opera. Therefore, Huachao opera has high academic research value in folk literature, folk music, folk culture and religious culture.
Huachao opera has been included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006.
The puppet show in Zijin County, Guangdong Province is a kind of string puppet. It is an intangible cultural heritage of Guangdong Province. In 1885, it was introduced from Fujian by Deng Mucun, Baodong village, Longwo Town, and ronghuatang troupe was established. By the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, there were eight puppet troupes, including ronghuatang, chonghuatang and xinyanhua, which were active in the villages of Zijin County, as well as the surrounding Wuhua, Huiyang and Lufeng.
Zijin Tixian puppet show is sung in Hakka dialect. The singing music is derived from Cantonese opera, Huachao opera, folk tunes and folk songs. There are more than 20 kinds of tunes, which are of their own style. Libretto and monologue are natural. The stage language is typical and easy to understand. A large number of Hakka slang, allegorical sayings and puns are used, and the unique artistic effect is achieved through the use of interdisciplinary, one question and one answer, one singing and one harmony. The accompaniment consists of orchestral music and percussion music. The conductor is the drum. The orchestral part is led by suona, accompanied by erhu, Gaohu and Yangqin. The percussion part is led by drum and Muyu, accompanied by Dougong, Xiaogong, dacymbal and xiaocymbal.
Zijin puppet show has a strong local flavor and folk customs, and has high historical and cultural value in traditional drama and folk culture. The libretto of Zijin puppet show reflects the changes of local social culture and provides important evidence for the study of social development in Hakka area.

Guishan Village
Guishan village, an ancient village in Guangdong Province, was originally called Puxiang. About 1685 years ago, there were scholars such as Juren. The local people thought that there were noble people in the village, and because there were many osmanthus trees, it was renamed Guishan. It is a very representative ancient Hakka village. It is located in the south of the Tropic of cancer, with mild climate and abundant rainfall. It can be cultivated and planted all the year round.
The ancestors of the Liao family came from Henan Province in the Central Plains. Due to historical reasons, they gradually moved from the Yellow River basin to Jiangxi and Fujian, then to Pingyuan in Guangdong, and then to Yong'an. The tombstone of Liao Shuyin, the ancestor of the Liao family in Guishan village, was erected during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.
Guishan stone building
Guishan stone building, also known as "Changchun building", is located in Guishan village, Longwo Town, Zijin County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. It is 5km away from longwowei town. It was built in 1780, the 45th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. It took 40 or 50 years to complete. The main building is rectangular, covering an area of about 300 square meters, six stories and 20 meters high, with a construction area of 3000 square meters Floor, 20 meters, building area of 3000 square meters. 1、 The second floor is built with granite strips, with a wall thickness of 1.5 meters; the third to sixth floors are built with Ming Dynasty firebricks, with a wall thickness of 50 ~ 60 cm. In front of the main building is the main house, with 41 three entrances and 70 horizontal rooms on both sides. In front of the door is a stone pond, and the outer walls are added with a square and a wall, forming a building complex covering an area of 18000 square meters.
Guishan stone building is located in the center of the village. There are more than 130 houses in front and back of Guishan stone building. It is the highest, largest and basically complete ancient building group with typical Hakka residential characteristics in Heyuan City from Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China.
In January 1999, Guishan stone building was listed as the third batch of cultural relics protection units in Zijin County. In 2004, Guishan stone building was announced as the first batch of protected ancient buildings in Heyuan City. In 2014, Guishan stone building was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Heyuan City.
