History and culture
Red Culture
Nanwan town was the rear area of the red Soviet regime during the great revolution and land reform. Peng Pai, Yang Qishan, Dong Lang, Gu Dacun, Xie Fei, Zheng Wansheng and ye zuoshu all directed the fighting here. During the war of liberation, it was the guerrilla area of Lufeng northwest self defense brigade, the site of the second division of the Red Army during the great revolution, and the site of hailuzi county Party committee and the county Soviet government. It was an old revolutionary base.

Shenxiangshan Park
Shenxiangshan park is located beside Nantian Lake in Nanwan Town, with an altitude of 653.1 meters. A 34.1-meter-high statue of Guanyin weighing more than 500 tons has been built on the mountain, which can be called the largest one in eastern Guangdong.
