Jianjiang Development Zone

Guangdong Jianjiang economic development pilot zone was established in February 1993 with the approval of the provincial people's government. It is located on the Bank of Jianjiang River in western Guangdong and under the leadership of Huazhou City. It has five village committees and one neighborhood committee, with a population of 39679 (in 2010) and a total area of 38 square kilometers. The zone is the leading and window of Huazhou's reform and development, and is one of the "top ten economic development pilot zones" in Guangdong Province.

the area has convenient transportation and superior location. National Highway 207, Guangzhou Zhanjiang railway and Maohua first-class highway run through the whole area. The planned construction area of the whole district is 10 square kilometers, which is divided into five functional areas of administration, industry, commerce, residence and culture. The municipal supporting facilities are improving day by day, and the urban construction has begun to take shape. with the continuous optimization of business environment and the rapid development of private economy, the zone has formed a group of enterprises mainly engaged in production and processing, building materials, ceramics, light textile, down, food, feed and other products, with distinctive industrial structure and accelerating agricultural industrialization. In 2003, the total industrial output value of the whole region reached 700 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34%, and the fiscal revenue reached 6.998 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 137.8%. The construction of the three civilizations in the region goes hand in hand, the primary, secondary and tertiary industries develop harmoniously, the two parks, the four markets and the six bases gradually become large-scale, the construction of the industrial park is in full swing, and the party construction work is fruitful. The Party committee of the district has been rated as the "model grassroots organization" and the "three-level joint innovation" advanced unit of Maoming City, the "model Township Party committee" of Guangdong Province, and the national advanced grassroots party organization.
