Huguang farm was founded in 1952. With a land area of 74 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 6 agricultural branches, 12 companies and factories, with an annual total output value of 160 million yuan. Its agricultural operations include sugarcane, sericulture, tea, paddy, fruit thinning, flowers, pigs, cows, freshwater breeding and other projects, initially forming the pattern of suburban agriculture, tourism and sightseeing agriculture in the southern subtropical zone; its field industry has begun to take shape, forming milk, tea, leather and oak Among them, Huguang dairy company has the largest dairy cattle breeding and product processing base in western Guangdong; the "Guangdong South Subtropical agricultural science and Technology Park (Zhanjiang District)" integrating scientific research, development and production is also located in the farm. With the emergence of the tertiary industry, the business and service industries are growing, and the prospect of land development is broad.

management strategy

In order to speed up the development of the farm, the farm has formulated a comprehensive economic development strategy focusing on the dairy industry, live pigs, sericulture, flowers, etc., with diversified operations in agriculture, industry, commerce, transportation and construction. During the Tenth Five Year Plan period, a large-scale production base of dairy industry, live pigs, freshwater aquaculture, sericulture, flowers, fruits and vegetables, sugarcane and tea will be built.
