Longxue Street

Longxue street is a street under the jurisdiction of Nansha District of Guangzhou city. It is located in the southeast of Nansha District, with Humen waterway in the East, Lingdingyang in the south, Jiaomen waterway in the West and Fuzhou waterway in the north. It is an island at the southernmost end of Guangzhou city.

Longxue district covers an area of 128.9 square kilometers, including land area of 49.8 square kilometers and water area of 79.1 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over shipbuilding base, port logistics base and Longxue community. At the end of 2013, 1454 registered residence and 9127 floating population.

Longxue street has more than 30000 mu of fish ponds, 29 km of rivers, 53 km of river dykes, 23 sluices and 45 km of municipal roads.

As one of the 16 pilot units in the city, Longxue street has made achievements in promoting domestic waste classification, upgrading domestic waste classification and "refuse not landing" pilot work.

Evolution of organizational system

Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, Longxue area belonged to "mingluntang demonstration farm of Dongguan county". It was taken over by the Military Commission in 1949 and belonged to Wanqingsha farm (renamed as "state-owned Wanqingsha farm" in 1950). In 1953, Longxue area belonged to the Fourth District of zhuhaizhu county. In 1954, it belonged to the state-owned Zhujiang machinery farm in Wanqingsha, Guangdong Province (renamed as the state-owned Zhujiang overseas Chinese farm in 1978). In 2008, Longxue area belongs to Zhujiang street. On January 1, 2009, Wanqingsha town took over the administrative and social affairs of Longxue district. On December 10, 2010, the preparatory group of Longxue sub district office was established. On September 7, 2011, Longxue sub district office was established.

Among them, there are 9 industrial enterprises, 95 logistics and transportation enterprises, 37 customs declaration enterprises, 5 accommodation and catering enterprises, 16 import and export enterprises, 10 wharf storage enterprises, 10 wholesale and retail enterprises, 3 Foreign-funded enterprises, 12 joint ventures, 13 government institutions and 9 other enterprises.

Longxue residents are mainly engaged in aquaculture, with high-quality aquatic products such as golden drum, yellow fin bream, sea bass, shrimp, Penaeus vannamei and green crab as the main products. The main product "yellow fin bream" has been registered as the "green food" brand of Guangdong Province.

Longxue island will be crowned with a prominent name, because it is said that the palace of the Dragon King of the South China Sea is located on this island. It is said that the Dragon King of the South China Sea lived here in the ancient times when there was no history and no human beings.
