Located 69 kilometers southeast of the county, the town is adjacent to Yongshun boundary in the East, hongyanxi town in the west, Tasha Township in the south, and Tani Township in the north. In December 2015, Longshan County merged Tani Township and nongche Township into an organic system and established the town.

The town people's government is located in matizhai (the former resident of the people's Government of the village).
