Sanjian town
Sanjian town is located in the south of Lengshuijiang City, bordering Xinhua in the West and Xinshao in the south. With a total area of 43.4 square kilometers (2017), the town governs Nanyang, Sanjian and Shicao communities, and 14 village committees including Guangming, Jintang, Jiujiang, Lidu, Lianyan, liuer, Mushan, Shangqing, Shenlong, Shichuan, Xiwan, Xinwu, Yuyuan and nianhe, with a total population of 20658 (2017). Since the establishment of the town in 2000, the development of small towns adheres to high starting point planning and high standard construction. Shicao Development Zone has begun to take shape and gradually become an "economic depression" radiating three counties and cities.
Evolution of villages and towns
The town is under the jurisdiction of Lengshuijiang City. Sanjian township was established in 1950, commune was established in 1958, and Sanjian town was established in 1984. Because there are three peaks on one mountain side by side, it is called Sanjian town.

Relying on the unique mountain resources, the Party committee and government of Sanjian Town, taking advantage of the preferential policies of the state's returning farmland to forest and comprehensive agricultural development, guided the economic talents to make articles on the cultivation of Chinese herbal medicine in accordance with the principle of "science and technology first, large households leading, strict management and leasing". After Guo Yizhong, a retired doctor, founded Sanjian herbal medicine farm in 1996 and succeeded in planting 72 varieties of Chinese herbal medicine, Liu Xuexiang, a retired cadre, made full use of the natural advantages of shuiyunfeng mountain, such as high water, long sunshine time and fertile soil, invested more than 300000 yuan to develop and build a base of agricultural and forestry Chinese herbal medicine, and widely planted honeysuckle, Phellodendron amurense, Achyranthes bidentata, cockscomb flower and Macaca mulatta Tao is determined to turn a thousand mu of wasteland into a "green bank" with huge financial resources. The villagers Liu Wang'an and Wang Xiaowen are unwilling to lag behind. They have invested in cooperative development and built more than 1500 mu of Shangqing and Lianyan medicine bases and Weizi bases.
Other villagers are eager to invest, and the construction of medicine base is in the ascendant. The town provides one-stop services from the aspects of project selection, technical guidance, seedling supply, cultivation management and capital investment, as well as the mediation of surrounding disputes. It also holds training courses on traditional Chinese medicine cultivation technology, employs experts to provide on-site guidance, provides market demand information, and guides the villagers to take the road of comprehensive development, mutual benefit of medicine and forestry, and scientific and technological efficiency.
The large-scale cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine has changed the single agricultural industrial structure of Sanjian town in the past, increased farmers' income, promoted the greening of barren hills and slopes, protected the natural environment, promoted the vigorous development of traditional Chinese medicine production in central Hunan, and made the orderly transfer of hundreds of rural surplus labor force. According to experts' estimation, the annual output value of medicinal materials in the town has exceeded 2 million yuan.
The town has a pleasant climate, sufficient light, an average temperature of 16.7 degrees and an annual rainfall of about 1354mm, which is very suitable for crop growth. The town has thousands of acres of national ecological protection forest, known as the "green bank" of the antimony capital of the world. The superior agricultural development conditions make the town become the three major agricultural bases (medicinal materials, forestry and efficient aquaculture) of Lengshuijiang City.

The town's highways extend in all directions. The provincial highway lengshao line, Taishi line and lianxu line run through the town. The municipal highway lengsan road and the town highway crisscross. It is a necessary place for highway passenger transport to go south to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and an important transportation hub for the three counties and cities.
The town has opened 8000 program-controlled telephones and mobile phones, and built two China mobile transmitting base stations, realizing the goal of no blind area for mobile communication.
It has four schools at all levels, one general hospital and two stadiums. The cable TV network covers the whole town.
mineral resources
The town is extremely rich in mineral resources. There are coal, antimony, graphite, silica, iron ore, sulfur ore, black shale, white calcium stone and other mineral deposits in the town, with large reserves, good quantity, high grade, shallow burial and high industrial utilization value. It has initially formed an industrial system with the three major industries of coal, carbon and cement as the pillars, and the deep processing of silica, graphite and gypsum as the technical advantages. The annual industrial output value is more than 100 million yuan, and the annual output of coal and cement reaches tens of thousands of tons. High quality carbon rods are exported to Guangdong, Fujian and other places.
