Shuiling town

Shuiling township is located in the west of Dong'an County, 12 kilometers away from the county. It borders Jingwei township of Xinning County, Shaoyang City in the north, Baiya Town, Zixi town and damiaokou town in the East, South and West. The township government is stationed in bushitang village, which has 15 villages and 131 villager groups, including Feng, Yangui, Jinlong, Lingjiao, dahujia, diaolinuping, yunfangling, bushitang, Lengshan, Luojiazhai, Sanhe, Jixing, Jiantian, Xinpu and mutang.

A brief introduction to my hometown

After the founding of new China, it was under the jurisdiction of the first district in November 1949. In November 1950, Shuiling township was divided into Jiantian, dahujia and Yangui. In June 1956, it was called Jiantian township. In October 1958, it merged with Chayuan Township and was called lighthouse people's commune. July 1961: Shuiling Township People's commune. In 1984, it was changed into a township. The total area of the township is 59.3 square kilometers (2017), with 1032.6 hectares of arable land, 64% of which is woodland, and 10100 people (2017).

Economic products

The territory is hilly and small mountainous areas. The provincial reserve bureau's three seven special highways are winding up, passing through Luojiazhai, Lengshan, bushitang, yingfangling and other villages. There are roads and trunk roads in villages, so the traffic is convenient. Agricultural and sideline products include soybean, peanut, corn, lily, konjac, pig, goat, etc. The township economy is dominated by agriculture. The enterprise has "Dong'an County casting factory", which produces all kinds of industrial and agricultural casting crystal, as well as iron products such as iron pots, plows and steel shovels. The township's annual GDP is more than 50 million yuan, and its annual financial revenue is 700000 yuan. there are 1 middle school, 5 primary schools and 1 medical institution in the township. People here often practice martial arts and keep fit. It is one of the birthplaces of Dong'an martial arts, which has been reported by central, provincial and municipal TV stations for many times. It has won the titles of "Hunan Province sports advanced collective", "Hunan Province martial arts hometown" and "national fitness advanced collective".
