It was built to make people live a rich life, so it got its name. At the beginning of liberation, there were 14 townships in six, seven and eight districts. When the districts were withdrawn and merged in 1956, there were five townships in fujiaqiao, damiaotou, hexianguan, Dangdi and Wulipai. When the people's commune was established in 1958, there were three communes in Wuyi, Minzhu and Qunying. In 1960, the district system was restored to Shuangpai and damiaotou. In 1965, Shuangpai, shangrenli, panjiadong and he village in damiaotou were designated Xianguan, cailikou, Hejiadong and other six communes were under the jurisdiction of Xiaoshui Forest Management Bureau. They merged Shuangpai and damiaotou to establish danyan district. In 1969, they were renamed fujiaqiao. In 1978, Wulipai commune was assigned to Shuangpai County, and he xianguan commune was assigned to Shuangpai County. It was changed to fujiaqiao Township in 1984. In 1986, with the approval of the provincial government, fujiaqiao was removed from the township and built into a town. In 1995, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, and the four townships and towns of fujiaqiao, Yanghe, damiaotou and hexianguan were merged into fujiaqiao town.
