Xinshidu town

Xinshidu town is located in the southern suburb of Yiyang City, Hunan Province, about 15 kilometers away from the urban area. It is adjacent to Shishan Township in the East, Nijiangkou town in the south, and xielingang town in the southwest and North. There are Xiexin, Yixin and Xinnan county-level highways in the town, which directly connect Yiyang, Taojiang and Lianyuan. Zhixi river runs from east to west, and xinshidu bridge runs across Zhixi River, which makes the North-South connection of the town convenient. It has a mild climate and abundant rainfall all year round. The town governs 17 villages, two neighborhood committees and one agricultural science team, with a total area of 64.5 square kilometers and a total population of about 20000.

Based on the situation of the town, the town adjusted its industrial structure and formed five pillar industries: 1. Bamboo products processing. There are 750 bamboo products processing enterprises based in jinmaoshan and ougongdian, which radiate 14 surrounding villages and employ more than 10000 people. "Tiancai chopsticks" and "mahjong mat" have entered Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions. 2. Precision casting. The finished products of Huaxin sewing machine have entered Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhejiang and other places with an annual output value of more than 30 million yuan. 3. Refined antimony smelting. Two antimony companies, Rongchang and Zhengda, have been developed. Among them, the refined antimony project of Rongchang antimony Co., Ltd. has been included in the "science and Technology Spark plan" of Hunan Province. 4. Lean meat type pig breeding. The six villages with Yangming and Tiaoshi as the center have become the breeding bases of lean meat type pigs designated by the Municipal Institute of Agricultural Sciences. Regional culture

Xinshidu town is rich in human resources. The former residence of Zhou Yang, a famous Marxist literary theorist, is located in Tianzhuang Bay of our town. There are still three of them. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Yiyang City. The former residence has an elegant style. The folk legends of Yanggong temple, Yanggong temple and pingtoulun in Yinhe village are very interesting.

Urban infrastructure is improving day by day. The town is 10 kilometers away from Yiyang City. Two provincial and county-level highways, Xie Hui and Deng Xin, run through the town. The planned Ring Expressway passes through our town. The village road is basically hardened, and the traffic is very convenient. In 2003, the gross domestic product of the whole town was 61.78 million yuan, the total investment in fixed assets of the whole society was 1.86 million yuan, the total financial revenue was 5.48 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2031 yuan. Four major industries have been formed, including precision casting, bamboo products processing, pig breeding and chemical industry. Hongguang, Xingwang, Yongcheng and Changsheng have established famous brands. The bamboo products processing industry is developed. There are 820 specialized bamboo products processing households in the town. Tianjian chopsticks and health mats are popular at home and abroad, with an annual output value of 180 million yuan. The breeding industry is developing rapidly. There are 380 large pig farmers in the town, with 4217 sows on hand. There are 100000 pigs on sale in the whole year, with an output value of 120 million yuan, ranking the first in the region. Runxin and Shenjun chemical enterprises have made great progress in technological transformation and scale expansion.
