Xinqiaohe Town, Ziyang District, Yiyang City, is a famous town with a long history, which was formed by the merger of the original lichangang, xinqiaohe and Yanglinao towns in December 2005. Located at the end of Zishui River, it reaches national highway 319 in the East, Zijiang River in the south, Xiushan town and niutanhe town in Taojiang County in the west, junshanpu town in Hanshou County in the north.

The base governs 8 administrative villages, including xinqiaoshan, Changtang, Xianfeng and huangjinhu, with a total planning area of 23 square kilometers. It was established with the approval of Ziyang District People's Government in 2005.
