Shuangxikou town

Shuangxikou town is located in the north of Taoyuan County, in the center of Changde Cili corridor. Provincial highway 306 runs through the whole area. It is adjacent to Mazongling town in the East, Jiuxi Township in the southwest, Qihe town in the south, Reshi town in the south, and Shimen and Cili counties in the Northeast.

The town has flat terrain, fertile land and rich resources. It is rich in cherry, bayberry, citrus, rape, Camellia oleifera, medicinal materials and high-quality rice. The livestock and poultry industry is prosperous. The cattle and sheep are exported to Guangzhou in the South and Beijing in the north. It is famous both inside and outside the province. Shuanggui village is rich in cherry red bayberry, guanchehu village is the high quality rice production base of Changde Jinjian rice company, and is listed as "Hunan ecological agriculture demonstration area",. In 2017, the reporter learned from the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau that with the approval of the provincial Civil Affairs Department, Shuangxikou township of Taoyuan County will abolish the township system and set up towns on the basis of their original administrative regions. In March 2017, with the approval of Hunan Provincial Department of civil affairs, Shuangxikou Township, Taoyuan County, Changde City abolished the township system and established a town on the basis of the original administrative region.
