Jinwutang town

Jinwutang town is located in the north of Suining County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province. It is adjacent to Dongkou County in the East, West and North. It is the junction of the three counties and nine townships. The total area of the town is 142.7 square kilometers (2017), with 8921 mu of cultivated land. The forestland area is 156232.5 mu, and the forestland area is 135954.3 mu. The main peaks are xinyejiang, Baihuashan, DAAO, jixinjie, Baiyuan and Mazi, with a forest coverage of 69%. The town governs 13 village committees, 1 neighborhood committee, 128 villager groups and 17553 people (in 2017) in Zhangjiawan, Xiaoping, yuexijiang, Zhuxi, Xinhua, Jinwu, Caozhai, Changping, Xiongyu, yulinxi, Zhuanwu, Daji and Wanzi. In May 1996, the town was established from the township.
