Beixintunxiang
Beixintun Township, belonging to Wanquan District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the north of Wanquan District, adjacent to shanfangbao Township in the East, gaomiaobu Township in the south, ximalin town in the west, and tailuogou township of Zhangbei County across the Great Wall in the north. It is 15.86 kilometers away from the people's Government of Wanquan District, with a total area of 186.63 square kilometers.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, beixintun township was divided into districts 1, 2 and 3 of Wanquan County; in 1997, it was renamed beixintun Township from Xinhekou township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the new town was 9136. As of June 2020, beixintun township has jurisdiction over 26 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in beixintun village.
In 2018, there were two industrial enterprises in beixintun Township, including one above scale and three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, beixintun township was divided into District 1, District 2 and District 3 of Wanquan county.
In April 1953, beixintun Township and Xinhekou Township were set up respectively.
In August 1958, it belonged to Wanquan commune and ximalin commune.
In July 1961, beixintun commune and Xinhekou commune were established from Wanquan commune and ximalin commune.
In March 1984, it was restored to beixintun Township and Xinhekou township.
In January 1996, beixintun township was merged into Xinhekou township.
In 1997, it changed its name from Xinhekou township to beixintun township.
