SHIZIKOU town

SHIZIKOU town is located in the southwest edge of Gongan County, Hubei Province, on the right bank of Songxi River, a tributary of the Yangtze River. It is a lake area with staggered tributaries of the Yangtze River, surrounded by water on three sides, with high water and low embankment. It is across the river from Nanping and banzhudang towns (Songxi River), bordering on waishui River in the southwest and Songzi paper mill town. It is a large embankment with an independent water system. There is inner water in the middle, which can pass through the whole territory. It is connected with 207 National Highway by Wangzhi highway.

evolution

In the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC), Fuling county was established, and SHIZIKOU was the jurisdiction of Fuling. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 209), Liu Bei changed Fuling County into Gong'an County. During the period of the eastern Wu Dynasty, SHIZIKOU town was under the jurisdiction of Fuling county. In 589 ad, SHIZIKOU belonged to Yong'an county. During the Guangxu and Xuantong periods of the Qing Dynasty, SHIZIKOU town was divided into two parts. In 1917, it was changed to southwest Shangxiang. In 1946, SHIZIKOU was divided into three townships: Gushen, Dehe and Jingjin. In the early days of the people's Republic of China, SHIZIKOU town was under the jurisdiction of the first district of Gongan County. Jinshi commune was established in 1958, Jinshi district was established in 1961, and Jinshi commune was established in 1975. In the winter of 1983, the township system was restored and the Jinshi district was restored. In 1987, SHIZIKOU town was established. In the early days of the people's Republic of China, shenjindu was under the jurisdiction of the seventh district of Gongan County. In the winter of 1999, shenjindu town was abolished and merged into SHIZIKOU town.
