Evolution of organizational system

Dongxianpo township was established in 1953, changed to commune in 1962, and restored to township in 1984. Hu Liangxiang was incorporated in 1986. In 1997, it covers an area of 44.2 square kilometers and has a population of 30000. It has jurisdiction over 24 administrative villages including Jiahe, Changdian, Xihu Yangtun, Zhuanghu, dongxianpo, xixianpo, donglutou, xilutou, wangjiafen, shanghuliang, zhonghuliang Beiwu, Qinggang, Shangpo, Shangzhuang, xiahuliang, Lianzhuang, Ducun, Xingwang, yanjiafen, sanbuqiao, wanghuzhuang, dijiachang and yanzitou. The township was set up after the township was withdrawn.
