Chongli township is located 43 km northeast of Shangcai County, Zhumadian City, 6 km south of 311 provincial road, which crosses Beijing Zhuhai expressway; it borders Zhoukou City in the north, runs through Wuhuang provincial highway, and meets Luohe Xiangcheng highway. S213 provincial road crosses Chongli Township from north to south, and x003 county road crosses Chongli Township from east to west and intersects S213 in the center of Chongli township. The Heihe River flows through the southwest. It has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages and 209 villager groups, with a population of 39102 (2017). The cultivated land area is 57855 mu, and the per capita cultivated land is 1.05 mu. It is mainly Han nationality, and only 26 people are Hui nationality. Historical evolution

According to the records of Shangcai County compiled by Yang tingwang of Shangcai County during the reign of Kangxi, Chongli township is under the jurisdiction of dunchongli (Dunhou, Chongli) and Jieqiang Li (jieji, Guqiang). At that time, there was Chongli store, an important market town. After the founding of new China, Chongli Central Township was established in 1956, Dongan commune was established in 1962, and the township was changed in 1983. In 1997, it covers an area of 56 square kilometers and has a population of 50000.
