Doushanhe Township
Doushanhe township is located in the Midwest of Xinxian County, Henan Province, with 114.5 degrees east longitude and 31 degrees north latitude. It is adjacent to wuchenhe town and Qianjin Township in the north, Kafang Township in the west, guojiahe Township in the South and state-owned forest farm in the East. It is 16 kilometers long from north to South and 32 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 133.84 square kilometers (2017).

There are many mountains in the neighborhood, including Liankang mountain in the East, 727 meters above sea level, Yunwu Mountain, wuzhanling and Wanfu village in the west, longpanzhai and shangqipan village in the north, 400-600 meters above sea level, belonging to the subtropical transitional climate. Xiaoguanao in Zhangwan village in the south of the township is the watershed of the Yangtze Huaihe River Basin, the transition zone from the subtropical zone to the warm temperate zone. There are 1260 villagers and 387 natural villages with a population of 16944 (2017).
Historical evolution
In 1983, Doushanhe township was established. It is located in the west of Xinxian County, 30 kilometers away from the county. In 1997, it covers an area of 121.5 square kilometers and has a population of 22000. It governs 15 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, including Doushanhe, lannichong, fuqianwan, Huchong, datangwa, Liulinhe, Liuwan, Tangwan, Baimashan, Gangdian, huaishudian, baishaguan, Liwan, Zhangwan and LIANKANGSHAN.
Rich in products
The territory is rich in natural resources, rich in chestnut, ginkgo, tea, Camellia oleifera and other agricultural products. It is a key township for comprehensive development of forest and fruit in the county, known as the first township of Chinese fir in the Central Plains. rice, rape and wheat are the main agricultural crops, and the remaining agricultural products are pepper, sesame, soybean, Gastrodia elata and Auricularia auricula. Local pigs, black goats and Shanhuang chickens are the main agricultural products. Beef cattle, broilers and Huainan pigs have large output and good meat quality. there are 12 large-scale farms and 4 large-scale plantations in the township, and the breeding industry occupies an important proportion in agriculture. Doushanhe township has large reserves of fluorite and pyrite, high grade and easy to exploit, of which the reserves of fluorite are 10 million tons.
