Luo Chenxiang

Luochen township is located 22 kilometers west of Guangshan County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, with a total area of 58 square kilometers (2017) and a population of 26880 (2017). The terrain in the territory is high in the South and low in the north, adjacent to Yunmengshan Industrial Zone in the west, and provincial highway 338 passes through the city.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Luochen township as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.

Location traffic

Luochen township is located 22 kilometers southwest of Guangshan County, adjacent to beixiangdian Township in the East, mafan town in the south of Henan Province in the west, Wenshu Township and nanxiangdian Township in the south, and Xianju Township in the north. Provincial Highway s338 Zhongpu zhoudang road passes through the territory, and the second-class highway from Wenshu Zouping to Xianju Changxing town runs through the north and south, with convenient transportation.

The terrain in the territory is high in the South and low in the north, with shallow hills in the South and hills in the north. Yunmeng Mountain in the territory contains a large amount of limestone, which provides rich mineral resources for the development of building materials industry. Now, there are 12 quarries, 5 stone processing plants and 3 cement prefabrication plants in Township run enterprises, including 1 pole plant, 9 lime kilns, 1 lime processing plant and 5 brick plants, including 2 large stone plants. The limestone reserves are estimated to be 100 years old.

Characteristic agriculture

In the township, 22000 mu of high-quality hybrid rice, 16000 mu of hybrid rape and more than 8000 mu of wheat are planted, with an annual output of 12608 tons of high-quality rice and 1.5 million kg of rape, providing a rich material basis for the processing industry of agricultural and sideline products. Today, there are two large rice processing plants in the township.

The township has 8 village level forest farms, with 3283 mu of non metric forestry. In cooperation with Jinguang group, 2600 mu of fast-growing poplar has been built, and 1000 mu of poplar has been planted. The forestry coverage rate of the whole township is about 30%.

Educational facilities

Educational facilities are perfect, each administrative village has a primary school, the township has a middle school, the Township street has two schools: Luochen complete primary school, Luochen middle school. The history of Luochen primary school can be traced back to 1893. The private school founded by Zhang family was mainly for the study of landlords' children.
