Sun Tiepu town got its name from the blacksmith surnamed sun. Facing Zhugan town of Luoshan County across the river, it is adjacent to Zhaihe town in the East, Balicha Township and caohuangling town in Xi county in the north, Xianju Township in the South and Xiangdian Township in the north. in the Qing Dynasty, Suntiepu town was built in the city of sunpubao (it had jurisdiction over Li, Bao, Jia and Pai systems, Guangshan had jurisdiction over 30 Li). During the period of the Republic of China, the scope of sun Tiepu changed several times. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Suntiepu district has undergone several changes. From 1958 to 1983, it was called Suntiepu people's commune; from April 1983, it was renamed Suntiepu township; from December 1985, Suntiepu township was withdrawn to build a town, and it has jurisdiction over 15 villages and one neighborhood Committee. In 2005, wolongtai township was put under the jurisdiction of Suntiepu town. Wolongtai township is located in the northwest of Guangshan County, 9 kilometers away from 312 national highway. Hongqitai commune was established in 1975, and wolongtai township was changed in 1980. In 1997, it covers an area of 85.5 square kilometers and has a population of 21000.
