Shizhi sub district office of Fangcheng county is located in the west of Panhe, adjacent to Fengrui sub district office in the East, Quanqiao Township in the southeast, Quanqiao Township and Qinghe Township in the south, Qinghe Township in the southwest, Qinghe Township in the West and Yangji Township in the north. The total area is 11.6 square kilometers, and the cultivated land is about 7000 mu.

Historical evolution

It has a long history and profound culture. In the old town area of Fangcheng County, there are some provincial scenic spots, such as Lian Zhen palace, the provincial cultural relics protection unit Zhang Xie temple, and the county level cultural relics protection unit Confucious'temple, Town God's Temple, Tong Xian Guan and so on. Due to the presence of Zhang Shizhi, a famous historical figure in the Western Han Dynasty, the main street was later named "shizhilu". Shizhi Street originally belonged to Chengguan Town, which was named Chengguan District in 1949, Chengguan town in 1955, Chengguan people's commune in 1969, and Chengguan town in 1982. On August 18, 2011, Henan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved the following adjustments to the administrative divisions of Fangcheng county with the approval of Henan Provincial Government: to abolish Chengguan town and set up Fengrui and Shizhi sub district offices. On December 22, 2017, Henan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved the following adjustments to the administrative divisions of Fangcheng county with the approval of Henan Provincial Government: six administrative villages, namely Shilipu village in Qinghe town and jializhuang village, dahuangzhuang village, Qilidian village, wenyangang village and Yuxi new village in Quanqiao Town, were put under the jurisdiction of Shizhi sub district office. Since the establishment of Shizhi sub district office, under the correct leadership of the county Party committee and the county government, the sub district Party Working Committee and the sub district office have taken it as their own responsibility to focus on urban construction, accelerate the urbanization process, and strive to build a medium livable city. Bearing in mind the mission, they have lived up to their heavy trust, made innovations, worked hard, and constantly created a new situation in the work of the sub district Party Working Committee and the sub district office, so as to accelerate the economic and social development of Fangcheng To make new and greater contributions in the process of developing and building a higher level of well-off society.

The administrative villages include Qilidian village, Shilipu village, Yangang village, Huangzhuang village, jializhuang village and Yuxi new village.
