Mucheng sub district office, located in Wuzhi County, is the political, economic and cultural center of the county. It is adjacent to Zhengzhou in the South and Jiaozuo in the north. Zhengchang road and Xinluo road meet here. Jinzheng Expressway and Zhengjiao railway pass through. Mucheng office, formerly known as muluandian, is an important business town in the north of Henan Province, with business contacts radiating to surrounding counties and cities. It covers an area of 10.86 square kilometers and 5784 mu of cultivated land.

Evolution of organizational system

In October 1954, the town was built on the basis of Jianshe, Heping and Shengli. It was named after muluandian as the county seat. On August 31, 2012, with the approval of yuminxing No. 3 issued by Henan Provincial Civil Affairs Department and Jiaozuo Municipal People's Government Document No. 151 issued by Jiaozuo Municipal People's Government on the implementation of urban management system in Wuzhi County, Mucheng sub district office was officially established in January 2013.
