Shizimiao town belonged to duyuli of Song County in the late Qing Dynasty. It belonged to the Fourth District of Song County in the 19th year of the Republic of China and was liberated in October 1947. The third district of Luanchuan County, also known as Baishi District, was established in September 1958. In 1970, the clay was separated from the Baishi commune, and the shizimiao commune was set up alone. In 1984, the commune was abandoned and changed into a township. In 2011, the township was removed and the town was built.
