Dagang Lixiang

Dagangli township is located 12.5km southwest of Tongxu County, adjacent to Ligang Township and Lizhuang Township in the north, Fugou County in the south, DIGE Township in the East and Weishi County in the West. It is 10 kilometers long from north to South and 8 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 72.23 square kilometers. The 24 administrative villages of the township are connected with asphalt roads, with a total mileage of 55 kilometers.

The territory is flat and rich in water resources. Baidigou and Wohe River pass through the territory. The Yellow River irrigation area accounts for 98.5% of the total cultivated land area. Local industry

It is rich in agricultural resources, with 4766 hectares of cultivated land and 4534 hectares of Yellow River irrigation area, accounting for 94.5% of the total cultivated land. The construction of farmland and water conservancy has been awarded the "Yuwang Cup" award by Tongxu County for four consecutive years. The main crops are wheat, seedless watermelon, cotton and peanut. Seedless watermelon has a planting area of 3000 hectares, an output of 153000 tons, and an open field vegetable planting area of 1983 hectares. Animal husbandry has a strong development momentum with a total output value of 27 million yuan. Seedless watermelon and cantaloupe imported from the United States are the two pillar industries of the township. Since 1998, the total area of Seedless Watermelon in the township has been more than 45000 Mu every year, with an annual output of 200 million kg, which has been sold to more than 10 provinces and cities in China, such as Guangzhou, Hubei and Hebei. American imported cantaloupes are big, fragrant, crisp and sweet. They come into the market early and can be transported easily. Among them, there are 1500 off-season greenhouses with an output of more than 7 million kg, which sell well in Zhengzhou, Beijing, Shanghai and other provinces.

The main industries are light textile, machinery manufacturing, sheet metal processing, flavors and fragrances, building materials, food and so on.

In 1999, there were 3 middle schools and 23 primary schools with more than 8000 students. The enrollment rate of school-age children and the rate of primary school to junior high school reached 100%.
