Dajidian town

Dajidian Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Jingxiu District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Jingxiu District, bordering Jiezhuang Township and Fuchang Township in the East, Wuyao Township in the southeast, Nanhan village and town in Mancheng District in the west, and Nanqi Township in the north. As of June 2020, Yuanjiang has 16 village committees. Dajidian Town People's government is located in Xidui village, Jiangcheng.

In 2013, the total output value of urban and rural agriculture in Yuanjiang was 120 million yuan, and 863.52 million yuan of Industrial Enterprises above designated scale. In 2017, there were 257 urban and rural enterprises in Yuanjiang, with 9200 employees, including 197 industrial enterprises and 12 large-scale enterprises. In 2018, there were 197 industrial enterprises in Yuanjiang urban and rural areas, including 11 above scale and 79 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In 1984, Yuanjiang urban and rural area had jurisdiction over eight villages, namely, Jiangcheng East team, Jiangcheng West team, Shijiazhuang, Zhangxinzhuang, Liuzhuang, Wuzhuang, Pangcun and litiezhuang.

At the end of 1995, Pang village and litiezhuang village were assigned to Yujiazhuang township of Mancheng County, and nine villages, including Yinzhuang, Xuzhuang, yingzhuang, Lizhuang, Xuzhuang, Jiazhuang, Xiazhuang, zhanghaizhuang and sunjiatang, were assigned to Yinzhuang township of Mancheng County.

In December 1998, four villages of sunjiatang, zhanghaizhuang, jiajiazhuang and xiajiazhuang in Yuanjiang urban and rural areas were assigned to Nanqi Township in new urban area; three villages of dongyantong, nanyantong and xiyantong in Yujiazhuang township of Mancheng County and two villages of dajidian and Hougaozhuang in Qingyuan County were assigned to Yuanjiang urban and rural areas.

By the end of 2013, yuanjiangcheng had jurisdiction over 16 villages including Jiangcheng West team, Jiangcheng East team, xiyantong, dongyantong, nanyantong, dajidian, hougaodian, Liujiazhuang, Shijiazhuang, Zhangxinzhuang, Lizhuang, yingzhuang, Yinzhuang, Xuzhuang, Wuzhuang and Xuzhuang.

History and culture

Name and origin

Dajidian town is named for its ancient town dajidian. Dajidian village is an ancient village with a history of more than 3000 years. It used to be a post station in ancient times.

Ancient theater

Dajidian ancient theater, also known as dajidian ancient theater, is located in the north of the middle section of Dongxi street in dajidian village. Facing north and south, the stage is made of huge stones, bright in front and dark in back, low in front and high in back, narrow in front and wide in back. The ancient theatrical building shows the typical architectural style of Qing Dynasty. On the backstage wall of the theater, there are still some handwriting of "Gao laochun, Wang Laoyan, hengqingkui, rongqingban, Changsheng class, Baoyang class in the 21st year of Guangxu".

Honorary title

On July 28, 2019, dajidian village was announced by the Ministry of culture and tourism as one of the first batch of key Rural Tourism Villages in China.
