It is located in the central urban area of Zaozhuang, with a total area of 58 square kilometers, 16 administrative villages and a total population of 36000. It is 8 kilometers away from the entrance and exit of Beijing Fuzhou Expressway in the west, 11 kilometers away from Zaozhuang station of Beijing Shanghai railway, less than 70 kilometers away from Xuzhou Guanyin Airport in the south, 13 kilometers away from Zaozhuang port of Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal and 170 kilometers away from Rizhao Port in the East. In the territory, Guangming Avenue, ZAOCAO highway, dianhan highway and zaoxue railway cross the territory, interweaving vertically and horizontally, forming a very convenient transportation network. On December 25, 1996, Zhangfan township of Xuecheng district was abolished and Zhangfan town was set up. Later, in 2000, it was abolished and transferred to nanshai town. In 2006, the original nanshai town was transferred to Zaozhuang high tech Zone and Zhangfan town.
