Duanbolan town is located in the northwest of Jimo District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China. It is located at the junction of Jimo, Pingdu and Laixi. It has jurisdiction over 70 administrative villages, with a permanent population of 61514 (2017), a total area of 166.99 square kilometers and a cultivated area of 155000 Mu. The origin of town name

The town was originally called "sipulan". In Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the fourth of seven duanpu from Jimo to Laizhou Prefecture. It was built at the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty.
