Zixiao town

Zixiao Town, under the jurisdiction of Nanfeng County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southwest of Nanfeng County, 50 kilometers away from the county. It borders Guangchang county, Ningdu county and Yihuang County, covering an area of 280.6 square kilometers. It has 19 administrative villages and 96 villager groups. In late 2018, the town of Zi Xiao had 15 thousand and 600 registered residence.

In Zixiao Town, rice is the main agricultural crop. In addition, there are conventional agriculture such as Bailian, Nanfeng tangerine, betel nut taro, tea and flowers, as well as characteristic breeding such as Chinese honey, bamboo rat, Hu sheep, porcupine and stone chicken. By the end of 2018, there were six comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Zixiao town.

Historical evolution

In 1958, it belonged to qiachun commune and Zhufang commune; in 1984, it belonged to qiachun Township and Xixi township; in 2001, it abolished Xixi Township and qiachun Township and merged to form Zixiao town.

Zixiao town is located in the southwest of Nanfeng County, adjacent to Baishe town in the East, Guangchang county in the south, Xiaotian township of Ningdu County in the west, Xinfeng township of Yihuang County in the northwest, and Sanxi Township in the northeast. Qia village, where the town government is located, is 50 kilometers away from Nanfeng County. The town covers an area of 280.6 square kilometers.

Zixiao town is located in mountainous area, the terrain inclines from northwest to Southeast. The mountainous area above 500 meters above sea level accounts for about 80% of the total area of the town, and the hilly area accounts for about 20%.

Zixiao town has the most forestry resources in Nanfeng County. After the forest reform in 2006, there are 375000 mu of forest land, with a forest coverage rate of 92%, 1.47 million cubic meters of standing trees, 560000 moso bamboos, pine, fir, moso bamboos, rape, miscellaneous trees and other rare tree species.

There are diabase, bluestone, fluorite, rare earth and other mineral deposits in Zixiao town.

New rural construction

From 2006 to 2011, there were 19 new socialist rural construction sites in Zixiao Town, more than 80% of the villagers in the town used tap water, and the participation rate of new rural cooperative medical system reached 93%.

In 2017, Zixiao town invested more than 12 million yuan to build nine new rural construction sites, including 2.32 million yuan in Shanggu village. Demolition of hollow room 1210 square meters, pig pen, cattle pen 1443 square meters. The streets of market towns were renovated three times, more than 8000 leaflets were distributed, and 95 steel sheds (covering an area of 5811.5 square meters) were demolished.
