Xiongcun Town, subordinate to Lichuan County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southeast of Lichuan County, 18 kilometers away from Lichuan County. It borders Shaowu City, Fujian Province in the East, Taining County, Fujian Province in the south, Desheng Town in the southwest, Tanxi Township in the West and Hufang Township in the north. With a total area of 131 square kilometers, it governs 1 community, 12 administrative villages, 118 villager groups and 82 natural villages. In late 2019, Xiong village had 18 thousand and 100 registered residence population.

History of construction

In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, the territory was under the jurisdiction of three districts; in 1956, Xiongcun township was established; in 1958, Xiongcun commune was established; in 1961, Xiongcun commune was divided into Xiongcun commune, Hufang commune and Fangping commune; in 1968, Fangping commune was incorporated into Xiongcun commune; in 1977, Fangping commune was set aside; in 1984, Xiongcun commune was changed into Xiongcun township; in 1995, Xiongcun town was established; in 2001, Fangping commune was established Pingxiang was merged into Xiongcun town.

Xiongcun town is located in the southeast of Lichuan County, bordering Shaowu City of Fujian Province in the East, Taining County of Fujian Province in the south, Desheng Town in the southwest, Tanxi Township in the West and Hufang Township in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 12 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 16 kilometers, with a total area of 131 square kilometers.

Xiongcun town is located at the foot of Wuyi Mountain and the junction of Fujian and Jiangxi. The terrain is high in the northeast, low in the southwest and flat in the middle. The highest point is xiaochage (tanxia forest farm) mountain climbing Shengshan, with an altitude of 1120 meters. The lowest point is furongzhou group of xiajie village, with an altitude of 127 meters.

The annual average temperature is 17.5 ℃, the average temperature in January is 5.8 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 8.5 ℃; the average temperature in July is 28.9 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 40.2 ℃. The annual average rainfall is 1751 mm, the extreme annual maximum rainfall is 2201.9 mm, and the extreme annual minimum rainfall is 1142.5 mm; the rainfall is concentrated from March to June every year, with the maximum rainfall in June.
