Hongguang farm
Hongguang reclamation farm is located in the east of Dongxiang District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, bounded by Jinxi County in the southeast, Yujiang County in the north and Yaowei Township in Dongxiang District in the West. The total area is 14.6 square kilometers, including 5177 mu of cultivated land, 600 mu of water area and 14023 mu of mountainous area. There are three agricultural branches, one forestry branch and one industrial zone under the jurisdiction of the whole site. The total population was 3793 (2010).
Construction history
Built in 1957, it is a state-owned agricultural reclamation enterprise.
Geography
Hongguang reclamation site is located in hilly areas, which inclines from northwest to Southeast. The highest place is Yuhuang peak, which is 185 meters above sea level. Most of the hilly red soil (developed from red clay) is in the northwest, and there are thousands of mu of Plains between the mountains in the southeast, which are sandy soil and fertile land. Yao River, a small river originated in Wuyi Mountains, runs through the territory. There are 11 reservoirs with water area of 40 hectares and annual water storage capacity of 03 million cubic meters.

Regional celebrities
Hongguang reclamation farm is the hometown of Wu bozong, the first scholar of Ming Dynasty, and Wu Songliang, the poet Buddha of Qing Dynasty.
Wu bozong (1334-1384), named you, was born in Xintian, Jinxi County. In the fourth year of Hongwu, he was the first in the imperial examination. At the beginning of the imperial examination, the emperor personally asked. Bo Zong was very happy.
