Zhanwei town

Zhanwei Town, subordinate to Dongxiang District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the west of Dongxiang District, adjacent to weishangqiao town in the East, Mawei town in the south, Yunshan town and changkai town in Linchuan District in the west, xiabuji Township and Yaqian Township in Jinxian County in the north. It covers an area of 91.02 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages. In late 2018, Zhan Wei town had 30 thousand and 400 registered residence population.

History of construction

In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, the territory was divided into Zhanwei township of Junling district and Tieshan township of Mawei District; in 1958, Zhanwei Township and Tieshan Township were merged to form Zhanwei commune; in 1959, Tieshan brigade of Zhanwei commune separated part of its jurisdiction and established a county red flag reclamation farm; in 1984, Zhanwei commune was abolished and changed into Zhanwei township; in 1996, Zhanwei township was changed into Zhanwei town.

Zhanwei town is located in the west of Dongxiang District, adjacent to weishangqiao town in the East, Yunshan town and changkai town in Linchuan District in the west, Mawei town in the south, xiabuji Township and Yaqian Township in Jinxian County in the north. In the north, there are many hills and mountains, and the plane is irregular inverted trapezoid. Yaqueling, the highest peak in the town, is 189 meters above sea level; Tianfan, at the junction of fengjialing and Mawei, is the lowest, 17 meters above sea level.

Zhanwei Town, also known as zhanjiatang, is located in the east of the central part of the town.

cultural relics and historic sites

Jinshidi gate tower is located at the entrance of Tonghu village, Zhanwei town. It was built by jinshidi Huang Ji in Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty (1465-1487). The gate tower is 6.8 meters high and 7.4 meters wide. The pillars, beams, gate walls and veranda are all made of bluestone. The gate tower is carved with "jinshidi" in the middle, and both sides are carved with drama and flower patterns.
