Duobao Township

Duobao Township, under the jurisdiction of Duchang County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is named after Duobao temple.

Duobao township is located in the northwest of Duchang County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, bordering Poyang Lake in the south, West and North. Historical changes

It got its name from Duobao temple. In the territory of the original temple, built in the early Ming Dynasty, is now located in the village in front of the temple, because of the gift of Hebei God treasure, named "Duobao". On the eve of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Zuoli Township in the mountainous area. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Zuoli, Duobao, Changping, fengshu and other townships in the second district. In 1958, it belonged to Zuoli commune. Duobao commune was set up from Zuoli commune in 1962 and changed to township in 1984. In 1997, with an area of 116 square kilometers and a population of 17000, it has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, including Baoqiao, Luoyang, Luolong, Duobao, Siqian, Zhaoxing, Renyi, Changping, Jinsha, fengshu and Zhoucang.
