Hongkou Township belongs to Jiaocheng District, Ningde City, Fujian Province. It has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages and 59 natural villages. In 1992, the total population was 5937. Hongzhou village and Yingzhou village are added to houhongkou reservoir for resettlement. Now it has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages and 5 resettlement sites. The Township People's government is located in Daotou village.

In 2017, the administrative area was 10296 hectares, with a permanent population of 5072.

In 1987, Huotong town was established as Hongkou township. In 1997, it had jurisdiction over 10 village committees, including Kushan, Hongkou, Hualan, Chaoyang, juzhoushang village, juzhouxia village, Jinshan, Jilong, Chengfeng and Daotou. Hongzhou village and Yingzhou village are added to houhongkou reservoir for resettlement. Now it has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages and 5 resettlement sites. Hongkou reservoir

Lingdou Bridge

Located in Jiaocheng section of Ningping Road, Lingdou bridge is a reinforced concrete box arch bridge constructed by cable hoisting, with a total length of 329.5m and a single span of 160m. It is the largest seven section cable hoisting bridge in Fujian Province.

Tianchi Bridge

Located in Jiaocheng section of Ningping Road, Tianchi bridge has a total length of 405.9 meters, of which the clear span of main arch ring is 205 meters, which is the largest span of similar bridges in China; the height of the bridge is 142 meters, which is the highest in Fujian Province.

Tuerling scenic spot

Located at the back of Tangyi village, tuerling is connected with the first Qishan mountain range. The mountain is characterized by stone monsters and pines. It is steep but not dangerous, and high but not dangerous.

Zhiti mountain

There are four tourist areas: Zhiti Shengchang, Yingzhou Dashui, Huotong Dongtian and naroyan grottoes. Zhiti temple was built in the fourth year of Kaibao (971) of the Song Dynasty. It was rebuilt in successive dynasties. The emperors of all dynasties granted the name of the temple and the eunuchs of all dynasties granted things to build the temple five times. There are some imperial cultural relics, such as the iron Buddha of "thousand holy heavenly crown", the bronze Buddha of "gilded great Pilu" and Buddhist scriptures. Approved by the State Council on April 9, 1983, it was listed as a key Buddhist temple in China. Zhiti mountain, which is located in Zhiti temple, is more than 800 meters above sea level, surrounded by 99 peaks.
