Arch bridge town is located in the southwest of Zhangping City, Fujian Province, adjacent to Guilin street in the East, Yongfu town in the south, Xinluo District in the West and Xiyuan Township in the north. It is an old revolutionary base. The town government is located in the arch bridge dike, 14 kilometers away from Zhangping City, with an altitude of 202.2 meters.

Historical scale

It was called Xin'an society in ancient times and belongs to yongfuli. In 1951, it belonged to four townships of arch bridge, Gaoshan, Luoshan and Shangjie. In 1957, it became Arch Bridge Township. In 1961, it set up arch bridge commune. In 1984, it restored township. In 1995, it established town. Highway reconstruction

Due to the poor road condition of Houlong natural village, Shangjie village, arch bridge town, Zhangping City, it is difficult to walk and drive to longkongdong scenic spot. In order to give full play to the tourism resources of arch bridge town, build the brand of "ecological leisure arch bridge" and build the tourism and leisure industry pattern of "Jiupeng River in the north and Xin'an River in the South" in Zhangping, the Party committee and government of arch bridge town decided to overcome many difficulties and implement the highway cement hardening project from Houlong to longkongdong scenic area. The highway is reconstructed according to the standard of provincial highway grade III, with a length of 4.5km and a total investment of 4.5 million yuan. After the reconstruction, Zhangping to longkongdong scenic spot is only 26 km, which is more than 50 km shorter than Yan Shi Town in Xinluo District. More tourists to longkongdong will pass through Gongqiao town in Zhangping City, which will be conducive to the development of tourism economy in Gongqiao town.
