Shunyang Township

Shunyang township is located in the east of Jian'ou City, Fujian Province, 39 kilometers away from the urban area. Shunyang township has one neighborhood committee and six village committees: Dongxing neighborhood committee, Xidong village, Wulin village, Shicheng village, jiangdun village, Jixia village and houfang village. In 2017, the administrative area was 17200 hectares, with a permanent population of 7565.

On June 29, 2020, it will be included in the list of provincial rural governance demonstration towns.

Resource overview

Shunyang township is rich in products and resources, with a timber stock of 580000 cubic meters and 5.6 million branches of Phyllostachys pubescens. Rich in citrus, jiuxianwu tea, Castanea henryi, mushroom, fungus, lotus seed, camellia seed, Litsea cubeba seed, pine resin and other 20 kinds of agricultural and sideline native products, of which "jiuxianwu tea" won the special prize in the first Beiyuan tribute tea competition. The proven mineral resources include zinc, silver, aluminum, iron, quartzite, granite, etc., which are of high mining value. We have established Minfeng, minheng, Minda, Shunfei, Jinxin, Hexin, Yongxin and other large-scale enterprises.

economic development

The infrastructure of Shunyang township has been improved day by day, and the street view community has been included in the provincial pilot project. The main buildings on both sides of the market town's 24 meter wide cement Avenue and Commercial Street are of different styles and novel shapes. The sidewalks are paved with colored bricks, inlaid with pebbles and planted with grass to form a geometric figure. The greening emphasizes "color, fragrance and shape", forming a strong cultural atmosphere. It has a 35 kV substation with an installed capacity of 3000 kW and an annual power generation capacity of 10 million kwh, which ensures the development of industry and agriculture. It has 1000 program-controlled telephone networks leading to all villages, mobile phones covering the whole Township, and a waterworks with a daily water supply of 2000 tons has been put into use;

The cable TV of the whole township is connected with the city. From ouzheng line to Shunyang, there is a 6.5-meter-wide cement road, which is fully opened in all villages. The rudiment of a modern new type of small town has basically taken shape. In 1999, it was designated as a provincial pilot town by the Provincial Construction Committee, which has become a typical example of the construction of small towns in mountainous areas of our province. In March 2000, it was awarded the title of "national advanced town and village construction" by the Ministry of construction.
