Xiandu town

Xiandu town is located in the northeast of Hua'an County, adjacent to longjuan township of Anxi County, with an average altitude of 330 meters. It has a subtropical monsoon climate with an average temperature of 21 ℃. It governs 13 administrative villages and is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Hua'an.

In 2017, the administrative area was 13761 hectares, with 28328 permanent residents.

Historical evolution

Xiandu commune was established in 1958, township was changed in 1984, and town was changed in 1992. In 1997, it governed 13 village committees including Xianfeng, Zhongzhen, Xiandu, Shihou, Dadi, Shangyuan, songkeng, zhaokeng, Zhaoshan, Xialin, Yunshan, lingpu and Gaocun.

Xiandu town is located in the northeast of Hua'an County, Fujian Province, where the world cultural heritage "eryilou" is located. It is known as the "hometown of overseas Chinese in Southern Fujian". It is a key (satellite) town and the first "loan credit town" in Zhangzhou.

Economic situation

In 2006, the total industrial and agricultural output value of Xiandu town was 688 million yuan, including 508 million yuan of industrial output value, 180 million yuan of agricultural output value, and 764 million yuan of township enterprises. People's living standards have generally improved, with a per capita net income of more than 8000 yuan.

In 2008, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the whole town increased to 1.035 billion yuan, including 730 million yuan for industrial sites, 305 million yuan for agricultural output value, and 10253 yuan for per capita net income. People's living standards generally improved.

(1) Industry: in 2004, the industrial output value was 380 million yuan, an increase of 18%; more than 800 tea processing enterprises were newly established; 28 tea machinery manufacturers, with an output value of 35 million yuan. In the first quarter of 2005, there was one project under construction and one under discussion.

(2) Tea industry: 40000 mu of high-quality tea garden, more than 2000 tea processing households (factories) and more than 200 tea marketers. In 2003, the total output of tea was 50000 Dan, creating an output value of 300 million yuan.

(3) Bamboo mat processing industry: in 2004, there were 50 bamboo mat processing plants, with an annual output of 500000 bamboo mat beds and an output value of 35 million yuan.

(4) Tourism: the main scenic spots are the earth Tulou group, Lingtou doctor village, rongbaosong, Xuantian Pavilion, etc.

(1) Convenient transportation network: Weihe line of provincial highway runs through the whole town, connecting Quanzhou, Xiamen and Fuzhou in the East, Jiulongjiang riverside highway in the south, more than 70 kilometers to Zhangzhou, 23 kilometers to the county in the west, connecting Yingxia railway and central Fujian channel from Hua'an to Zhangping. 100% of the administrative villages are connected with roads. (4) Modern communication: the capacity of optical cable program-controlled telephone has been expanded to 2000 doors, and more than 1850 doors have been installed. There is one telephone for every 4 households in the town, and there are hundreds of telephones for every 5 villages. Human history

Xiandu has a long history of humanities, outstanding people and excellent traditions. Built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (built in 1770), "eryilou" is well-known. It is the only national key cultural relic protection unit in China's ancient residential buildings. It is known as "the treasure of folk houses" and "the king of Tulou", attracting many experts and scholars at home and abroad to visit.

In 2007, it has passed the on-site assessment of the UN "world cultural heritage" experts. During the period of rural cooperation, Xianfeng village used the method of "four comparisons and five accounts" to reorganize the community. Chairman Mao wrote a brilliant note on "good experience of a whole community" in 1955.

Xiandu town is the hometown of famous director Tang Xiaodan, famous social activist Tang bride, famous professors Tang Guoxi and Tang Weike, famous painter Tang Muli and famous music conductor Tang Muhai.

Dadi Tulou group is located in Dadi village, Xiandu Town, 80 kilometers away from Zhangzhou and 147 kilometers away from Xiamen. It is composed of Eryi building, Nanyang building and Dongyang building. All of them are large-scale houses built by Jiang's grandparents in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. They are a miracle of rammed earth architecture in ancient China. The buildings are surrounded by Wugong Mountain, dajinmian mountain, Huxing mountain, Dagui mountain and Shizishan mountain, and their site selection presents geometric figures. The architectural plane layout of the buildings is unique, the idea of defense system is original, the structural treatment is different, the architectural decoration is exquisite and gorgeous, and the landscape environment is pleasant and the humanistic landscape is rich. The overall layout runs through the idea of people-oriented and the unity of heaven and man.

Eryi building is located in Dadi village, Xiandu town. It was built in 1740 and completed in 1770. It has been built for 30 years. It covers an area of 9300 square meters and has a diameter of 73.4 meters. It is the largest single circular earth building in the province. It is known as "the first building in China" and "the treasure of folk houses". Eryi building is a model of organic combination of unit type and corridor type. The whole building is divided into 16 units with 244 rooms. There are 226 murals, 228 colored paintings, 349 wood carvings and 163 couplets in the building. The contents include flowers and birds, landscapes and figures.
