Tongling town
Tongling Town, subordinate to Dongshan County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, is located at the northeast end of Dongshan Island and the northeast corner of Dongshan Island, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is adjacent to the sea in the East, South and North, but adjacent to Kangmei town in the West. It is a cultural ancient city with a history of more than 600 years. It is known as "Zou Lu by the sea". It is the economic and cultural center of Dongshan County. The area is 6.37 square kilometers. In 2017, there were 52657 permanent residents in Tongling town. By 2019, Tongling town has 12 communities and 1 administrative village.

Historical evolution
In the 20th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, it was renamed Tongshan, belonging to six capitals and five maps of Zhangpu County.
In 1735, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhao'an county.
In 1910, the second year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the upper District of Tongshan autonomous region in Zhao'an county. When the county was established, it was under the jurisdiction of the first district of the county and was the resident of the county magistrate's office.
In 1940, there were two towns named just and just.
In May 1950, after liberation, it belonged to the first district and was the residence of the district office and the county people's Government (called Chengguan).
In 1958, it became Chengguan people's commune.
In 1975, Chengguan town and Tongshan people's commune were established.
In April 1980, Tongshan commune was incorporated into Chengguan town.
In 1985, with the approval of the provincial people's government, it was renamed Tongling town.
