Yangli Township

Yangli township is located in the Northwest Mountainous Area of Minhou County, about 50 kilometers away from Fuzhou City and 40 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to Dahu Township in the East, Dongqiao town in Minqing County in the west, Baisha Town and Xiaoruo Township in the south, Tingping Township and Xiazhu Township in Minqing County in the north. It has jurisdiction over 23 administrative villages with a land area of 151 square kilometers, including 2.5 million mu of cultivated land, 227000 mu of mountainous land and 178000 mu of woodland.

In 2006, the output of bitter orange in Yangli township was nearly 35 tons, and it is estimated that the output can reach 70 tons. In 2005, Yangli Township adheres to the concept of sustainable development, regards development as the first priority of enriching the people and prospering the township, and promotes the sustained and rapid development of the national economy. The gross domestic product was 260.85 million yuan, of which the total industrial output value was 90 million yuan. The investment in fixed assets is 19.28 million yuan. The electricity consumption is 3.02 million kwh, the tax revenue of China is 3.69 million yuan, and the per capita net income is 3543 yuan.

We should persist in taking industrial development as a combat readiness measure to enhance the strength of economic development. Starting from the construction of sugarcane "enclave" industrial district, we should strive to expand the economic scale of township enterprises and enhance economic vitality. Focus on the pillar industry of iron processing, promote its upgrading, scale and level. The township has nearly 100 iron processing workshops with nearly 5000 employees and an annual output value of 50 million yuan. At the same time, we have implemented three projects under construction, put into operation and started construction, including Jiefu plastic products Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 6.5 million yuan. After putting into operation, the estimated output value will be 20 million yuan, of which 15 million yuan will be added.

The land area of the township is 161 square kilometers, with 32140 mu of grain planting area, 5520 mu of fruit planting area, 3500 mu of tea planting area and more than 30000 mu of vegetable planting area, including 12000 mu of off-season vegetable planting area. Over the past few years, through the adjustment of agricultural structure, Yangli township has given full play to the advantages of mountainous land, suitable climate and sufficient labor force, and has formed six thousand mu vegetable production bases and one edible fungus production base, namely, balsam pear production base in Yangtou and Chayuan; eggplant and pepper production base in Yangtou and liudunpian; Zizania production base in Tianlong and Wuxi; and Buddha production base in Youquan and Wuxi The production bases include: the production base of hand melon; the production base of cabbage of Liu Yang; the production base of beans of Yangtou, Tianlong, Chayuan and liudunpian; and the production base of edible fungi of liudunpian.

Meanwhile, the planting proportion of Seedless bitter orange will be increased. There are 2000 mu of wild bitter vegetables and 2000 mu of natural bitter bamboo forest in the township. It can process 10 tons of bitter bamboo shoots annually to improve the added value of the products.

Gaoshan tea industry continues to take the lead. The township tea planting area of 3500 mu, planting varieties such as Jinxuan, Tieguanyin, oolong tea, the total output of 80 tons, the output value of 9.6 million yuan. Taiwan funded enterprises such as Fuzhou xuefengding holiday tea garden and Taiwan Jiamei farm (Jintian Village) have cooperated with Fujian agriculture and Forestry University to carry out research on organic tea production, and developed 3000 mu of mountainous area, forming a comprehensive ecological agriculture integrating tea planting, flowers, agricultural sightseeing and leisure.

Yangli township has been persisting in creating brand and striving to improve product quality for a long time. There are registered trademarks of kuju, Yuzhu, Kusun and tea in the township. The trademark of kuju is invested and registered by the township and used by orange farmers free of charge. In Yangli Township, kuju, Yuzhu, tea, Yangtou eggplant and Chayuan balsam pear are well-known. On this basis, we plan to continue to develop the production of Xiancao and edible fungi.
