Pingtian Lake Scenic Spot

Pingtian lake is located in the southeast of Chizhou City, Anhui Province, including Qishan and pingtian lake and its surrounding areas, with a total planning area of 42.9 square kilometers, of which the water area of pingtian lake is 12 square kilometers.

Pingtian Lake scenic spot is a national 4A scenic spot, connecting Jiuhua Holy Land in the south, Qiupu fairyland in the west, Xinghua village, Jiuhua Tianchi and other scenic spots. It has built a characteristic landscape of "mountains and waters in the city". In 2014, it was rated as one of the top ten "China's most beautiful places to enjoy the moon" by CCTV, and is now actively applying for national scenic spots. The scenic spot has five functional modules: Anhui pingtianhu National Wetland Park (pingtianhu leisure Square), national water training base, International Yacht Club, leisure culture commercial street and Ecological Resort.

Pingtian lake, known as the "Pearl of the city", has beautiful mountains and rivers, excellent natural ecological environment, and profound cultural accumulation. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers, vast expanses, beautiful water, beautiful grass and pleasant scenery.

In 2017, the Qishan pingtianhu scenic spot in Chizhou City, which was warned and not actively rectified in the rectification action last year, was reduced from 4a to 3a.

Pingtian lake is like a quiet girl guarding the east of the city. Its water area is 11 square kilometers, 1.5 times that of Hangzhou West Lake. The green water reflects the green mountains, and the smoke waves are vast. Qi Mountain, a provincial scenic spot, nestles beside it. It is said that Guichi is famous for its beautiful water, and pingtian Lake scenic spot is the most beautiful one. Pingtian Lake tourist resort in Chizhou is a key project of Anhui Province "861" and the construction of Chizhou Municipal People's government. The total area of pingtian Lake scenic spot is about 37 square kilometers, of which the water surface is about 12 square kilometers, which is 1.5 times of Hangzhou West Lake. It is composed of Qishan scenic spot, Baojiashan Forest Park, pingtian lake and surrounding hills and mountains. It is an important area in the pattern of "one city and five districts" in Chizhou City. Pingtian Lake Scenic Area and the surrounding mountains, vegetation, animals and so on constitute a picture of the unity of nature and man. Among them, mountain is bone, tree is clothing and water is soul. Baojiashan Forest Park is located in the south of the scenic area. It used to be a village collective forest farm, with lush vegetation and various plant resources. Rich vegetation resources are the basis for the survival of all kinds of animals. There are families and species of animals. It is an ideal place to carry out forest tourism and popular science education. The whole project is divided into five functional sections: pingtianhu leisure square and Landscape Road (belt) around the lake, national water training base and water sports, International Yacht Club and water tourism, leisure culture commercial street and Ecological Resort Villa. At present, the construction of pingtianhu leisure square and Landscape Road (belt) around the Lake has been completed; water sports and some tourism projects have been opened to the public.

History of scenic spots

According to historical records, in order to cross the river and resist the Jin Dynasty, Yue Fei of the Southern Song Dynasty stationed troops in Guichi, Qishan, and trained his Navy in pingtian lake. Prince Zhaoming of the Southern Dynasty granted land here and often fished on pingtian lake. Guishan Island in pingtian lake is shaped like a tortoise. It faces south and worships. It is known as the tortoise worships Jiuhua. The lake is a natural water sports ground with wide water surface. In 2004, the State General Administration of sports held the international motorboat competition here, and now it is designated as the training base of the water sports center by the State General Administration of sports.
