Zhaoqiao Township

Zhaoqiao township is located in the south of Bozhou City, Anhui Province, 10 kilometers away from the urban area. The township governs 35 administrative villages, 226 natural villages and 339 villager groups.

The origin of history

According to legend, song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin rode east to inspect, just out of Bianliang, because his beloved white horse was sick and wanted to go by water, he ordered someone to dig a river, which is called Zhaowang River. The upper reaches of Zhaowang River (in Henan Province) are called Baima River in memory of Taizu Baima. It is called Zhaowang River in Anhui Province, and it is called Wohe River in Chengfu town in Bozhou. The family of Zhao, who lives on the Bank of the Zhaowang River, built a bridge on the Zhaowang River to see the dragon's face. It was named zhaoqiao. The collection of zhaoqiao got its name from this. Since ancient times, zhaoqiao has a history of more than 1000 years.
