In 1947, donghuashi district was the Tenth District. In 1954, there were five streets in Guanxiang, Baiqiao, xiashitiao, Xihuashi and shangtangzi. In September 1958, it was merged into donghuashi street.

Yuan Chonghuan's tomb and ancestral temple
Yuan Chonghuan's tomb and ancestral temple are located at No. 52, donghuashi Xie street, donghuashi street, which is the former site of Guangdong Yiyuan. The ancestral hall and tomb were built in the early Qing Dynasty, commonly known as she family hall, facing south. On the gate, there was a plaque inscribed "Tomb of yuan Chonghuan, a national martyr of Ming Dynasty". There are five main rooms in the ancestral hall, and stone carvings such as "rebuilding the tombstone of yuan Chonghuan's ancestral hall", written by Li Jishen, are embedded on both ends of the front porch and the interior walls. Under the eaves is a plaque inscribed by Ye gongchuo "Tomb Hall of Yuan Dushi, a martyr of Guangdong Province in Ming Dynasty". In the past, every new year's day and memorial day, the descendants of the she family hung a picture of yuan Chonghuan and worshiped it with incense candles for hundreds of years. After the ancestral hall is the tomb of yuan Chonghuan. The tomb, about 2 meters high, has a stone tablet and a stone arch table inscribed by Wu Rongguang, governor of Hunan Province in 1831. The cemetery is surrounded by brick walls with evergreen pines and cypresses.
In 1984, yuan Chonghuan's tomb and ancestral hall were declared as Beijing cultural relics protection units by Beijing Municipal People's government.
In 2002, yuan Chonghuan's ancestral hall and tomb were repaired and opened to the public.
In 2006, yuan Chonghuan's tomb and ancestral temple were announced by the State Council as the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins Park
Located in the north of donghuashi street, Beijing Ming City Wall Ruins Park is the Ming city wall ruins from DongBianMen to Chongwenmen. It is also one of the only two Ming city walls in Beijing. The park starts from the southeast turret of DongBianMen city in the East and ends at Chongwenmen in the west, with a total area of about 15.5 hectares. The city wall ruins and Southeast turret cover an area of 3.3 hectares, and the green space covers an area of 12.2 hectares. The Ming city wall site from DongBianMen to Chongwenmen is one of the only two Ming city walls in Beijing. In history, the Ming city wall is 25 kilometers long. It was built in the 17th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1419). It has a history of more than 580 years.
Long'an Temple
Longan temple, located at No.1, Baiqiao Nanli, northeast of donghuashi street, is a famous Buddhist temple in the outer city of Beijing. Longan Temple faces south, covering an area of 10000 square meters, 160 meters long from north to south, and 60 meters wide from east to west. In front of the gate, there is a brick and stone wooden structure on the top of Xieshan mountain. The stone inscription on the single arch gate reads "building Long'an Temple".
