Shangshan town
Shangshan town is a town under the jurisdiction of Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It is located in the southeast of Xiuning County, close to the seat of Huangshan Municipal government and adjacent to the town. There are five towns with one county and one district.

Shangshan town governs 13 villages including suntian village, Shuangqiao Village, Jinzhu village, Yaoxi village, Yanli village, Yangzhuang village, Xiafu village, gaotan village, Huangcun village, Shangjing village, Futian village, Xinyan village and Fanggan village, and 142 villager groups.

The total land area of the town is 94.89 square kilometers, with 13 administrative villages, 142 villager groups and 16523 people (2017).

Human history
Shangshan has a long history. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, as an important shipping port, it made an important contribution to the prosperity of Huizhou merchants. Under the influence of ancient Hui culture, there are many famous people with lofty ideals. For example, Huang Fu, a Jinshi in Jiajing of Ming Dynasty, Dai Youqi, the number one scholar in Liberal Arts in Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, Dai Zhen, a famous materialist thinker and scientist in Qing Dynasty, and several famous foreign officials in modern times. Mr. Sun Qimeng, former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Wu Xiang, former deputy director of the rural development research center of the State Council, live in Shangshan. The famous "jinshidi in Huangcun", "Dai Zhen's tomb" and "Sun Lao's former residence" are the key cultural relics protection units of the province.
