Huigong town
Huigong Town, subordinate to Zongyang County, Tongling City, Anhui Province, is located in the Midwest of Zongyang County. It is one of the traffic centers of Zongyang County, Tongling City. It is an important town in the north of the county. Zongtong, nanzongpeihui and Baihui highways meet each other. The North Bank of Chizhou Yangtze River Highway Bridge is connected from this town, and there is an interchange hub (connected with the reserved North Riverside Expressway). Huigong town has a provincial model high school, Huigong middle school.
Historical evolution
In 2010, Huigong township was abolished and Huigong town was established. In the sixth census in 2010, there were 39741 people in Huigong town. On October 13, 2015, the State Council (Guo Han No. 181) approved that Zongyang County in Anqing city should be under the jurisdiction of Tongling City. On January 4, 2016, it was officially announced that Zongyang County is under the jurisdiction of Tongling.

Huigong town is located in the middle of Zongyang County, sharing water with Xiangpu Town, Jinshe Town, Huangshan Town and baidanghu town in the East, guanbuqiao town in the south, Yutan town and Yijin town in the west, and Fushan town in the north. The territory is rich in mineral resources, including copper, iron, alunite and uranium. (1) copper deposits are distributed in the hinterland, South and west of the territory. The ore body of bamaoshan copper deposit in the abdomen is formed in volcanic rock (andesite porphyrite) in zonal shape. It is dominated by bornite, followed by chalcopyrite and a small amount of chalcopyrite. The ore is a veinlet dyestuff ore with an average copper content of 1.08%. In 1957, it was proved that the amount of copper deposit was 12000 tons. The dapaoshan copper mine in the south is of copper bearing marble type, and the ore mainly contains bornite and chalcopyrite. The ore body is 20-250m long, with 5 main ore bodies, with an average copper content of 0.58-0.77%. The proven copper metal reserves of the mine are 16000 tons. The shahutai copper mine and Xiya copper mine in the West are still small-scale mining in recent years. (2) iron ores are distributed in the South and west of the township. Chengshan iron mine and dawaoli iron mine in the South have a long history. They were mined and smelted in the Ming Dynasty. Now there are still three big iron mounds between dawaoli and Chengshan. The mine is still in small-scale mining since 1958. According to relevant records, limonite is stored in Chengshan and daaoli. Among them, Chengshan has a geological reserve of 80000 tons, with a grade of 39.98; daaoli has a geological reserve of 990000 tons, with a grade of 32.93-40.75; dapaoshan iron mine, which is connected with daaoli iron mine, has a geological reserve of 120000 tons, with a grade of 29.72-31.09; huayuanding iron mine in the West was mined by Zongyang County in the 1970s. It is said that the iron mine is rich in gravel, with an estimated reserve of several million tons. (3) uranium deposits uranium deposits are distributed in shezigou, Chengshan, in the south of the border, between Chengshan iron mine and daaoli iron mine. (4) alunite alunite is distributed in Bijiashan, dalushan, laohuwa and yaoweishan in the western part of the country.
