Banqiao She nationality township is located in the east of Songyang County, adjacent to Lixin She nationality township and Gaoxi Township in Liandu District of Lishui City in the East, Yuxi Township in the south, Xiangxi town in the West and Sandu Township in the north. The Township People's government is located in Banqiao Village, 37 kilometers away from the county seat and 38 kilometers away from Lishui City, with a total area of 26.32 square kilometers. It has nine administrative villages under its jurisdiction, among which four villages, namely damaoke, Jincun, houtang and Panba, are ethnic minority villages with 2654 people (2017).

The township is an old revolutionary base. During the Anti Japanese War, the peasant association of Tongchuan township was established, with chongjue temple in tonglang village as the activity center.

History of construction

Banqiao She nationality township was anleli, Huizhi Township in Qing Dynasty, belonging to 25 capitals of Songyang county. At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to Jingju township. In 1932, Tongchuan, houpan, Banxia Huangjin, Lingdong Dajin, dongbanshanling and Zhangshan were newly established from Jingju. In 1935, five townships were merged and renamed Tongchuan township. At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, it was incorporated into Jingju township. In 1950, Banqiao township was established. In 1958, it was changed into Banqiao management area of Xianfeng commune. In 1961, Banqiao commune was established.
