Xigang Township
Xigang township is located at the southwest end of Xianju County, 62 kilometers away from the county, Yongjia in the south, Jinyun and anling in the west, Qiushan Township in the northeast, covering an area of 62.74 square kilometers (2017). It is the source of Yongan River and the upstream of Xiaan reservoir. It is a typical old revolutionary Township with "nine mountains, half water, half farmland".
Historical evolution
In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Suining Township, and in Qing Dynasty, it belonged to two capitals. At the end of the Republic of China, it was divided into Dehua Township and Jinzhu township. Xianju County governs the township. In 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Jinyun. In 1956, Xigang township was built. In 1958, it was transformed into a management area. In 1961, it was established as a people's commune. In 1962, it was transferred to Xianju County. In 1984, it was transformed into Xigang township. In 1992, it was withdrawn and expanded and merged into chenling township. Later, due to the construction of Xiaan reservoir and immigration, after the Administrative Region Adjustment in 2001, there were 17 administrative villages and 45 natural villages in the township, with a total of 2458 households.

There are many mountains and forests and few fields in the territory, with 93500 mu of forest land and only 2700 mu of arable land. With high forest coverage and fresh air, it is a natural oxygen bar.

The total land area of the township is 62.74 square kilometers (2017), with 2741 mu of cultivated land, including 2343 mu of paddy field. The total area of forest land is 93493 mu, including 20045 mu of ecological public welfare forest. The main economic forests are tea, chestnut, Myrica rubra, Ginkgo biloba and Phyllostachys pubescens.
Characteristic industry
Agriculture: since 1986, all previous Township Party committees and governments have been actively developing efficient agriculture in mountainous areas under the guiding ideology of "adjusting measures to mountain conditions, giving full play to advantages, focusing on characteristics and grasping to the end". The total area of tea garden in the township is more than 4000 mu, including 1800 mu of wuniuzaocha, 6000 mu of Myrica rubra, 3000 mu of Alpine vegetables, 100 mu of purple sweet potato, 12 goat breeding bases, and more than 4500 goats. Tertiary industry: more than 2000 people are engaged in painting, baking sweet potato, catering and other industries every year, with an annual economic income of more than 26 million yuan. Paint distribution, in particular, has formed a nationwide distribution network. There are more than 700 paint distribution stores alone, with annual sales of more than 1.2 billion yuan. At the same time, social undertakings have also made great progress.
Main customs
Qingyin temple is a tourist attraction in Xigang township. It is located on shan'ao, about one kilometer southwest of Xigang township. Qingyin temple was built in the Ming Dynasty. Every year, July 7 of the lunar calendar is designated as the day of temple fair. There are more than ten towns in the west of our county, as far as Wenzhou, Jinyun and other places, thousands or even thousands of faithful men and women gather here to participate in the temple fair. The main contents of the temple fair activities are as follows: first, the "Eighteen Arhats", "thirty six lines" and other traditional folk talent performance; second, local troupes come here to perform, and the performance time of troupes is generally set for three days and three nights, that is, from the sixth to the eighth day of July. Qingyin Temple "July 7" temple fair is now applying for provincial intangible cultural heritage brand protection project.
