Jishan Street

Jishan street is the largest street in Yuecheng District of Shaoxing City, covering an area of 20.36 square kilometers. Shaoxing Economic Development Zone is 9.56 square kilometers in the north, and Kuaiji mountain tourist resort is 10.8 square kilometers in the south.

It is named for its location at the foot of Kuaiji mountain. On January 20, 1999, Jishan sub district office was officially established. Its regional scope is as follows: East to Pingshui Dongjiang, South to Yan'an East Road, West to Huancheng East Road and north to Zhedong canal. It has jurisdiction over 11 neighborhood committees and 2 administrative villages (formerly Dazhong village and Xingang village of Yuling Township are under Jishan sub district), with a permanent resident population of 19500. The office is administrated by Yuecheng district government and is under the Management Committee of Shaoxing Economic Development Zone I will take care of it. By the end of 1999, it had jurisdiction over 11 villages with a population of 18000 and an area of 3.1 square kilometers. In 2000, with a population of 27000 and an area of 3 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 13 neighborhood committees of hechiyuan No.1, hechiyuan No.2, hechiyuan No.3, hechiyuan No.4, hechiyuan No.5, hechiyuan No.6, hechiyuan No.7, Xifan, Dudong, Meidong, Pingjiang, Yangguang, dongfangyuan and 2 administrative villages of Dazhong and Xingang. In 2001, the former Yuling township was merged into Jishan street. The office is located at 480 Yan'an East Road (original site), with a population of 44600 and an area of 22 square kilometers. It governs Hechi, Xifan, Dudong, Meidong, Yangguang, dongfanghuayuan, Hedong, Dazhong, Xingang, forexitou, Jiangliang, huangduntou, lingjiashan, jiangkouling, jiangyanjin, Jinxing, Jishan, dingdounong, lujiazhuang, Zhilu and Tushan Yuling, Yongfeng, Yongsheng, lighthouse, longhezui, Dafeng, Liufang, Jiugang, wangxianqiao, etc. In 2006, it has jurisdiction over 31 communities including Hechi, Dudong, Meidong, Yangguang, Dongfang, Hedong, Xifan, Xiushui, huitou, Senhai, jiangyanjin, Yongfeng, longhezui, Dafang, wangxianqiao, Yuexin, Dazhong, Xingang, Jiangliang, huangduntou, lingjiashan, jiangkouling, Jinxing, Jishan, Tushan, Yuling, dingdounong, Yongsheng, Dengta, Liufang and Jiugang, and its office is located in Shunjiang road 680. Dongjiang community was added in 2009.

Sociology

Jishan Street governs 23 agricultural communities and 11 urban communities. The current population is 98656, including 75703 permanent residents. Shaoxing Public Security Bureau, procuratorate, Shaoxing daily, Shaoxing TV station, Shaoxing convenience service center, Shaoxing Commodity Inspection Bureau and other government organs are located in their respective districts. Shaoxing Sports Center, vocational education center, Yuexiu Institute of foreign languages, Shaoxing high school and a large number of public supporting projects also settled here.
